Granada
This
was the longest lasting Arab kingdom in Spain (800 years of Arab occupation).
In 1992 they celebrated the 500th anniversary of its fall to the Catholic
Kings, Ferdinand and Isabelle.
The city is world famous for its "Alhambra Palace" and "Generalife
Gardens". The "Alhambra Palace is the best and most well preserved
example of Islamic architecture in Spain. This medieval acropolis type
fortress, towers over the city and it is generally accepted as the 8th
Wonder of the World, and covers an area of 100,000 square meters. Many
of the original Palaces, squares and plazas are still there for you to
admire. The "Generalife Gardens", still remain very much as
they were, when used by the Arab Kings, over 1,000 years ago.

Sevilla
Seville is he capital of Andalusia, with more than 850,000 people. Some
of its architecture is based on the Mudejar style, a mixture of
both Moorish and Christian, with buildings constructed after the reconquest,
including the Alcazar, reflecting the influence of Arabic design.
Founded by the Phoenicians close to 1,000 years BC, it played an important
role in the discovery of the Americas, since any expedition sailing to
the New World, had to be contracted there.
With the Gold Tower overlooking the Guadalquivir River, The Cathedral
and Giralda Tower, The Maria Luisa Park, the old Tobacco Factory and the
Alcazar Palace, where many Kings have lived, Seville is a must for the
history lover.

capital of Ulterior Spain. In its surroundings some of the fiercest battles
between the armies of Ceasar and Pompeii, took place. The city reached
its artistic and cultural splendour, during the Arab occupation (711 until
1236, when it was reconquered by the Christian armies).
During the 10th century the city was declared capital of "Al-Andalus"
(Andalusia), reaching the status of "Caliphate" in the year
929, with King Abderraman III. Its Cathedral and Mosque, have been declared
"Patrimony of Mankind" by the UNESCO.
