Isabel Rondle
I spent my childhood in Brazil, the war years in England and in 1946
entered Liverpool College of Art to study dress design,
which
provided my first lessons in drawing and painting. After
the death of my first husband I took a refresher course in design, subsequently
spending two years at the Liverpool Notre Dame Teachers Training College,
concentrating on ceramics.
In 1968, by this time remarried, I
set up a commercial pottery studio at my farmhouse in Kent, at the same
time starting a teaching career in Arts & Crafts at local schools,
which lasted for 20 years.
In 1989 I retired to Spain, where I joined a group of Artists, known
as "Artists Unlimited", which I now jointly run and with
whom I now regularly exhibit my paintings and ceramics.
